Step On Step LP (International Anthem Recording Co.)

International Anthem presents 'Step on Step,' a double LP compilation of Charles Stepney's 4-track tape home recordings. Stepney, a renowned arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter hailing from Chicago, worked with notable artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Deniece Williams, and Ramsey Lewis. These recordings were made in the late 1960s and early 1970s in Stepney's Southside Chicago home before his untimely passing in 1976. His daughters, Eibur, Charlene, and Chanté, provide narratives and titles for the previously unnamed compositions. This release fulfills Stepney's unrealized dream of a solo album.
