KIKIRIKI Community Rumba Workshop Donations
El Kikiriki Biquéy
presents a deep community Rumba gathering at LOOVE Annex.
Formed in 2019 by a diverse group of New York musicians, El Kikiriki Biquey focuses on educating, presenting and just plain getting down with RUMBA.
In Cuba, the word RUMBA! means “PARTY!”, a festive practice that includes music, dance, chants, gestures hand-clapping, and aims to connect people, regardless of their social and economic background, gender, or ethnicity!
As a style of music, RUMBA! is a style of Afro-Cuban music centered around syncopated drumming and singing. The music is meant to be pondered and analyzed- but overall, to be danced to.
Hope you’ll Join us for this gathering in clave, culture, and community expression.
At Loove Annex, 238 N12 St, Brooklyn
(near McCarren Park’s weekly Farmers’ Market)
Saturday November 23rd from 2-4:30PM!
Although not required, Donations are hugely appreciated as they help in supporting the ongoing offerings of enriching, and heart-centered community gatherings.
