Debut album of tenor saxophonist and composer Julieta Eugenio, whose musical journey began in Argentina and evolved over a decade in New York City. Amidst the pandemic, Eugenio collaborated with bassist Matt Dwonszyk and drummer Jonathan Barber, crafting intricate chemistry around her compositions. The album features eight originals, from the introspective "Tres" to the ambiguously funky "Raccoon Tune," showcasing Eugenio's mature tenor concept. With two standards, "Flamingo" and "Crazy He Calls Me," this trio elevates the tenor-bass-drums configuration, solidifying Eugenio's reputation as a composer and saxophonist.
