Bones CD (Mack Avenue)

Vocalist and composer Michael Mayo makes his label debut with Bones on Artistry Music/Mack Avenue Music Group. Eli Wolf, known for his work with artists like Norah Jones and J Dilla, produced the album. Mayo earned the distinction of being only the third vocalist ever accepted into the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, showcasing his versatility from interpreting classics with small groups or big bands to creating experimental and improvisational solo compositions with up to 250 looped and layered vocal parts. His impressive resume includes international tours with Herbie Hancock and collaborations with artists such as Kneebody, Scary Pockets, and Amber Navran.
